Well I am a one of those people who have the search box on by default. Maybe i misunderstood what you meant by "ignore". But the proper solution is, hover does not take away focus from search box. But i think it is too easy to hit a key while navigating with the mouse and have shutdown, re... |

Well that is another way to do it. Well either solution has its trade off. My solution will make people have to press Alt- for keyboard shortcuts. Your solution will make people who have the search box focused automatically, to do a second click on the start menu to be able to hover. |

When using the search box and i hover into a expandable part of the start menu, the search box looses focus.
