I am wondering if you could please include the Offline Files and Recycle Bin options in the Start Menu's Customize Tab list? I have looked up the KNOWNFOLDERID for them. They are FOLDERID_ConflictFolder and FOLDERID_RecycleBinFolder respectively.

Hey!
I just noticed this. While I'm not really a fan of Metro, it matches the Metro style perfectly. Much better than the default icon.
Adding it now. Thank you for sharing. |

Hello, I am wondering if the Classic Shell team could implement another column for pinned and MFU programs as an optional feature for the Windows 7 style Start menu? In other words, I would like it if the Windows 7 style Start menu had three columns. I've thought of this before, but AFAIK, there are... |

Thank you. I did not notice it can be enabled in the right column. Why isn't it enabled by default?
I like the Windows 8 skin the best but the Start menu looks a bit brighter than the taskbar color. What about the Metro skin, is it discontinued? |

Hello, I've tried the Classic Shell 3.9.0 beta on Windows 8. I upgraded from 3.6.8 and installation went smoothly. But my Start menu is now darker color than the taskbar. Can you reduce the color to match the taskbar color? What happened to the Metro skin? I kind of miss that. Also, my Apps folder h... |

Hello, I am wondering if you would please add keyboard shortcuts for changing icon viewing modes in Windows 7's Explorer, like Windows 8 (i.e, Ctrl+Shift+1,2,3,4...)?
This would be most appreciated. |

Do you mean a combined A-Z sorted list inside All Programs menu of folders plus single shortcuts? That is a good idea as it will make easier to spot programs in an alphabetical list sorted just once. This is exactly what I am referring to. Is it possible? It would make it so much easier to look at ... |

Is there a way Classic Shell could allow for the Sort by Name option to combine results alphabetically? Currently, results for folders and shortcuts are separated from one another, with folders taking priority. This disrupts the A-Z sort order. |

I am wondering if Classic IE9 could implement pinned tabs like Google Chrome or Firefox do. Once a tab is pinned, it is always open in the browser, auto restored and cannot be closed. The concept is just like Favorites except that pinned tabs are auto loaded. |

Any update on this from the team developing Classic Shell? I would like the Start menu pre-configured with the Windows 7 menu items as well. |

I am wondering if Classic Shell could include links to the "Search the Internet", and "See More Results" items like the Windows Vista and Windows 7 Start menu?
I've included a screenshot. |

@GauravK Thank you for the thorough post, however, I don't really care about the inline Programs menu... I just want it to look right. @Jcee I agree with you, but I don't think having an inline submenu would be feasible. However, I do wonder what is so hard or wrong about having the "Windows 7&... |

But it is the look of the menu I want. I can't make it look exactly like the Windows 7 menu. Couldn't the Classic Shell team pay a little more attention to detail and make it look better? |

Hello, Is there anyway possible that the two-column menu could look more like the Windows 7 one by default? It's called "Vista/7 style" if I remember correctly, but it hardly looks like the version of the Start menu in those operating systems.
It's sad that Start8 looks better. |
