| From the Recovery environment, it will not load the Registry of the installed Windows in C:\. For that you will have to use Load Hive functionality and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config to load one of the hives. |

| Did you try changing to C:\ drive and C:\Windows\system32 from X: drive? If the executables are not in the PATH, you must change to the correct path before running Regedit or Taskmgr. |

Yes it is very inconsistent but it can't be disabled in places where it annoys the most. Even worse, I discovered that Windows 10 Creators Update changed Explorer List View to again have FULL ROW select like Windows Vista.  |

| It looks like it has slightly larger spacing but they changed the selection color from blue to grey which looks bad. In fact, Classic Shell's menu looks better for me because of the better selection color. |

Try opening C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and then modify the shortcut. The rest of the instructions are the same. | Quick Launch is per-user only, there is no taskbar location for all users. Also, Windows 10 removed the Windows 7/8.1 API which allowed programmatic pinning to taskbar. |

Open Classic Start Menu Settings and go to Customize Start Menu tab. Double click the icons for Pictures and Documents. Erase everything from Command and Link fields and press the Tab key.
Then in the Link field, type the new path to your actual Pictures and Documents folders. |

| Yes I agree. Desktop as a switchable location in Alt+Tab was a good feature of Windows Vista/7/8.1 and removed carelessly in Windows 10's Task View. But I don't think Ivo has time to expand the scope of Classic Shell beyond the Start Menu and Explorer. |

The jumplists are dependent on the AppID which is different for each shortcut. Somehow the Start Menu shortcut and the Taskbar shortcut ended up having different AppIDs which is why the jumplist became different.  |

| The Segoe UI Symbols font in 8.1 also has some of them but I think they are in the Private Use Area of the Unicode font. Copying them and pasting them into the Run dialog for example does not show them on my PC. In apps like Notepad, WordPad, they show of course. |
