I found the problem ... E.g. the standard icon for the programs entry in the main menu is "shell32.dll,326". If you use a 32x32 icon, you get an icon with 23x23 - the missing 9 pixel are just transparent pixel (same with the other sizes like 16x16). The icon which I use for the folders in ... |

Another screenshot - icon size should be 32 px, but the icon size of the main menu is 24 px. The icon size of the sub-menu's is correct (32 px). |

Yes, I know that a restart is required. The size setting affects the icon size in the start menu as well as in the sub-menu's. But the size of the icons in the start menu is always smaller than the size of the icons in the sub-menu's (as you can see in the screenshots). Did you use the classic windo... |

Sorry, but it doesn't work. Even if I change both sizes for small and large icons the icons do have a different size in the main menu and the sub-menu's.
E.g. if I set the icons size to 18 px, then the main menu shows icons with a size of 14 px, whereas the sub-menu's show icons with a size of 18 px. |

I checked it once again and it's a little bit different:
The icon size does have an effect. But I changed the DPI to 115% and it seems that the DPI setting is recognized in sub-menu's but not in the main menu. Therefore the icon size is always different between the main menu and the sub-menu's. |

Hello,
I use Windows 7 32bit with classic theme and Classic Shell with classic style.
I changed the icon size. Unfortunately, Classic Shell uses the icon size for sub-menu's but not for the main menu (see attached screenshots).

These registry settings achieve exactly what I want (reduced vertical spacing in details view) + enable "Auto arrange" and "Align to grid" menu options. http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/disable-auto-arrange-folders-windows-7/ Would be great if this could be included in Classic E... |

Currently it's possible to set the vertical spacing of the items in the Navigation pane (Tree item spacing). It would be great to have this feature for the Details view as well.

Hello,
I use Windows 7 32bit with classic theme and Classic Shell with classic style.
Classic Explorer offers the option to hide the scroll tooltip. However, this option doesn't work - I still see the scroll tooltip (even after a reboot).

Thanks for the info. It would be great if you could include a fix for this bug in the next release - even if I have to wait some weeks. |

Yes, I use small icons. Maybe the reason that Classic Shell upscales the icon is my DPI setting of 115%, but the original button keeps the icon untouched. Whatever, I used the 16x16 icon to create a 18x18 icon (16x16 icon + added border of 1 pixel) and as a result it looks like the original button. ... |

Hello, I use Windows 7 32bit with classic theme and Classic Shell with classic style. I decided to replace the start button with the classic button of Classic Shell. It seems that there is a bug: When Classic Shell starts, it places the start button without a left margin. After pressing the start bu... |

I've found it:
%windir%\Branding\ShellBrd\shellbrd.dll
I extracted the icon with 16x16 pixel. Unfortunately, Classic Shell upscales it - is there a way to force Classic Shell to use the icon without upscaling? |

Do you know which of the windows files (.exe, .dll) contains the windows logo? |

Hello, I use Windows 7 32bit with classic theme and Classic Shell with classic style.
