Using Classic Shell 4 on Win 7 Ultimate

I use my machine for work. Is there a feature in Classic Shell for making the tabs on the taskbar a little bit longer? Changing resolution didn't work.

It's already enabled, but it's pointing to an empty folder. Is it a bug in CS or 7 that has to be fixed?

I used Classic Shell 3 to edit my Start Menu some time back. I made it look like XP with "Documents" meaning Recent Documents. Originally it had hundreds of documents and folders listed, totally useless I switched to CS 4.3.1 a few weeks ago, looked over my previous choices and changed a f...

Got v.4.3.1 installed. I tricked it by telling it not to create Start Menu shortcuts.

In my case, I can't get it to work on a folder. File only.

It worked this time! The error messages I get when trying to install v. 4, AS ADMINISTRATOR, see 3 screenshots. The first one s actually the last I see. This is probably a Win 7 problem, not a CS problem. I have to do battle with it to install certain programs, even with taking ownership of ...

OK, got it. You're saying that it will copy only for a file and not for a folder, correct? I can copy as path, and then edit the file name out of text. Its till a great improvement for Mozilla profiles, hidden 7 layers deep, and folders within folders in the profiles. Maybe someone can write a comma...

I'm skeptical, but I've made screenshots of all my CS settings. I'd rather put CS version 4 in. I'm going to uninstall 3 this weekend, and write down all the error messages I get trying to install 4, and maybe one of you can help me out. (OT--You have no idea how much I hate the UAC in Win 7, and I ...

I would have to do all my settings over again.

I uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller before, so how can this utility be better?

(My first image above didn't upload right. you can click on it.)

I unchecked both. It's slightly better now. That one file is the contents of the folder in question:

I'll get on my regular Win 7 forum and see about it. Thanks.

I think I clicked a wrong setting in Classic Shell Explorer or maybe there's something I should have clicked. When I open a folder link on my desktop or anywhere else, I get not just the contents of the folder, as in Win XP, but the folder in the context of the entire Windows Explorer. With a few fi...

I've been using ClassicShell 3 with Win 7 for 5 months. Possibly an MS update has had an effect on CS. Since yesterday, every time I reboot, my StartMenu reverts back to factory settings, with nothing at all in the 2 left side menus. I go back into the CS StartMenu Settings, do nothing but click &qu...

I did that because I was getting partial or no install. Used Revo to uninstall, tried again. Now it's not installed at all. I had the same issue yesterday with Libre Office, I was advised to turn on the hidden Admin temporarily, and I eventually I gave up on it. It's a know bug in Win7 or in Libre. ...

I tried to install it "As Adminstrator" and I got an error message for most of the install files. There's no program there, and my Start Menu is all wrong. The right side list is on the left side and some commands are missing. I should have left it. The UAC has been driving me crazy and I ...

For Win7, is one preferable to the other? I have 3.6.8 and 4.3.0.

I wish all those $ were money.

Does Documents only reflect My Documents? I'm not using it and I've set up my docs in another partition with a diff name.

I'm using Win 7 Ultimate and CS 4.3.0. This is a new computer. I like my Start Menu to look like the old Win 98 UI. I had Classic Shell all set up for about a month, and I wanted to change a setting. One of the features, I think Classic Start Menu, wasn't responding, so I reinstalled the program and...
