Always a longer delay waiting for CSM to show itself the first time. I tried adjusting menu delays, but does not make any difference.:( Read on some page, that CSM uses explorer to start. So, does that mean it is really Window's 8 system, that is the slow poke? Is there somewhere in Windows 8, besid...

Never knew one could make hot keys for menu folders,:o or am I delving too much? As I'm a real mouser, with it embedded in my hand, never use the keyboard that much, but was playing around and found something. In case anybody wants to try. Make a custom command\item. Link up your folder, and pu...

Say what? Blue will come, and Classic Menu will still be required by many. I'm sure features that Mr Classic put in, and now MS is going to put in Blue, will be cancelled out in newer versions, to avoid conflicts. Mr Classic is a very good man. He is a professional coder, solving Windows user proble...

Hi. Is this the Program God? It opens perfectly to the programs menu with your left "win" key and "p" key converted to shortcut script in autoit. Very happy with outcome. That's all I need. Just to the point of the expanding/flyout programs folders/shortcuts. :) I did have ...

One last thing. The command "ClassicStartMenu.exe -open" never worked for me. I think the quotation mark was in wrong place. This one below, "C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -open worked as a shortcut, but did not open the programs expanded view for me,...

Just want to say, before making drastic changes to the menu, it's a good idea to back it up. Saved me a number of times, when I over modified, and forgot how to put back to normal. Now I have so many of the xml menu backup files, its a shame to delete them, as most are quite good. Still Crazy Though...

I did manage to find a slightly better solution to integrating Win+X menu and CSM program. There are keyboard navigation shortcut keys, in one of the CSM site's pages. :o The ones, I were looking for were "Win flag" and the "P" keys. They open up the programs menu, just the way I...

The truth of the matter is of course, as long as it is configured properly in the Controls tab, of Classic Start Menu settings, mouse clicks, alternate keys, etc, none of this extra baggage stuff is needed. It is very configurable already.:D I think i'm becoming a fan boy. ps Just dreamin silly rout...

Why yes. In a nut Shell- Escape to Shell shortcut! You don’t know what it's like, if I wander over to the giant movie Start Screen. It's so big, looking from first row, that glasses not required. So when I get totally dizzy in there, I click the Escape to Shell shortcut, and say three times &q...

Back with crazy thoughts, thinking inside the tile box. Are Classic Shell developers, on anything to do with Win 8 tile start screen? I don't know enough of the 8.1 updates in the pipeline, so my imagination is floating. eg. Is there a way to have a Classic Shell live tile as a shortcut, a...

Marriage Menu crazyman is back. Menu X, do you take Menu C, for better or worse...... Tried .vbs file again. I think the Ctrl gets stuck on. Guessing that a final electronic sledgehammer hit will reset it. I have no idea what I'm talking about. Probably .vbs would look like this: Set ...

Oh Boy, I realize now that the script is really wonky. It interacts with mouse wheel, when on internet. Still don't know enough to get your command to work. I have now downloaded and tried "Show Start".exe. It is now the middle man program between WinXeditor and CSM. It works ...

Crazy people see no logic. Yep. Clicking on a shortcut that opens menu automatically to the point of hovering over, on opened programs menu, so all main entries are visible. Then I can link it in Win+X I still want to use CSM. I did have the full unaltered version of CSM for months. If the...

Why? Call me crazy fussy. If MS gave us the WIN+X menu in Windows 8, I want to customize it with shortcuts using WinXMenuEditor, to work on the desktop. I cut and added links, so it is perfect, except for missing start menu programs link. That is where the great Classic Shell comes in. It can b...
