I know this is probably reviving an older thread, but does anybody here know how to get rid of that annoying overlay that blocks and conflicts with some taskbars?

Oh, I thought they were for something else taskbar related.

Cortana can already be disabled in Windows 10, so that feature is pretty pointless.

Could you please add an option to the Taskbar look settings to make it so that you get to set the transparency of the taskbar?
As for the taskbar texture, it would be ignored and the taskbar itself is the only thing that is customized.
