Incredible, I just worked that out myself five minutes ago. I knew it, this forum has the most knowledgeable and helpful people!! Thank you. Is this side effect described somewhere?
You are right, I used "wenpcfg" to get rid of the unwanted items in the left pane. |

Hello, for a while now I had the problem where the tree view in Explorer got "shredded" / "fractured", see enclosed image. What I have to do to produce this is open the tree so that a scrollbar appears, then move the tree up and down using the scroll bar. Eventually it's not redr... |

Fantastic! Thank you so much. Folder Options X was already installed on my machine, but I had it do nothing, since I wasn't aware of this feature. Now the view looks like this (see attachment). Thank you once again for the great software and the great support. |

I've been using Windows 7 since April 2013 and thanks to Classic Shell and Classic Explorer I've survived it so far ;-) Today I changed the icons for open and closed folders like so Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explore... |

OK, so the "leave 2 pixels transparent space around the edges" like shown in the attachment is the way to go? |

Surely that's a workaround, I added two pixel transparent all around and now the custom button behaves just like the classic button.
So does the classic button carry in itself a transparent two pixel border or is it indeed placed differently? |

While playing around with custom start buttons, I noticed that the custom start button is placed right on the left edge of the screen whereas the inbuilt classic button is placed with a two pixel gap between the button and the edge. Feature or bug? I'd say it's a bug. P.S.: The reason I wanted to do... |

Thank you for your answer. I tried "Folder Options X", at least it will prevent accidental deletion of the wrong item, since the focus is always on the right. "Windows Classic" is a nightmare, since it exposes a bug, which is documented here and also exists in the aero and basic ... |

First of all: Thank you so much for Classic Shell and Classic Explorer. They are invaluable! I have a question/request regarding the colour of selected items/folders. Today I posted on Microsoft's forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/bc4c7e43-a603-420c-baf7-7211c5... |
