Well, I did the same after you asked, but in my case, the signature is valid. The only suggestion I can give you is to delete the "suspicious" file and download it again. |

It's very strange, just tested myself downloading the installer and its certificate is valid. Have you downloaded it from here or from another site? |

Since I'm not here to promote another software I use, I will give you at least two ways to have what you want, one is RocketDock and the other is Rainmeter. Obviously there are pros and cons for both.

@Nimbi, in most of the forums I attend, there are "senior members" or "sages" for that purpose, usually also the number of posts of a member, could in some ways tell if it's worth to follow his suggestions. For the last option, obviously, you can also think of a troll (sort of)..... |

Sorry, only a disquisition on how a button is made... I don't do animated buttons, so, someone more experienced can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the number of frames/images you posted are too few to make an animated button. Maybe there's a way to create all the transition frames/images neede... |

Not really. A start button requires three images, one for normal, one for hover and one for pressed state. You can try this, for Win 8-10: "Windows+R", type "shell:startup" and then copy the link (for the current user) ; "Windows+R", type "shell:common startup" and then copy the link (for all users).

Well, after looking at a button he posted, I tried to do the same, using Gimp, just to understand the problem, but even the shallow filter correction wasn't as bad as his... Yes, I'm aware, but I prefer not to use it and to have the correct size. It's a habit, I avoid to stretch images and lose details. I don't know if it's also the case with Classic Shell, maybe there's no distortion... |

You can try to use "align to the corner of the screen", it's an option in the button settings. About dimensions, I don't know what program you're using to edit the image, but in most cases doesn't matter, it's very hard resize an image so much, I tend to build them from scratch and use the... |

I don't know how "big" could be yours, I use a button who is 90 pixels wide and 70 pixels high (total 211 pixels height) but I think there are bigger around. |

I suspect that the difference is given by OS, as I noticed, now, you're using Windows 10 and I'm using Windows 7.
At the moment I can't switch to Win 10 to verify, I have a double boot, but I need, prefer and still use Win 7 all the time.
