I was afraid of that. ...and now includes a full skin reference at the very end. Ah, now that wasn't there before - thanks for the links and suggestions (guess I'm starting over, so ResHacker Sunday it is for me). Cheers. On the plus side, it appears I don't have to worry about skin7's - as I don't ... |

Slightly off-topic, but I noticed that this doesn't happen for me, even though the option is checked... which led me to realise that I'm currently using a skin I modified a few years ago and never really needed to look at since (umm... 17-Dec-10?). Upon inspection of the current default skin files, ... |

I never said they didn't serve a purpose (though it be a tenuous one, visually) - I've read enough posts around here to know that despite your admonitions, users have been continually insisting upon using the searchbox and start menu as a whole for years now as a means of searching everything (linki... |

No doubt the "categories" in the searchbox results of v4.0 were added with the best of intentions, but such segregation ought to be optional, given that the category names are just clutter in the display, and one more thing (or in this case, two more things) the brain needs to filter "... |

I'm guessing it's a bug with res-hacker... For what it's worth, I've never seen any bloat in CS skin files using ResHacker, even after many many (many) edits of the same file. If you can reliably reproduce the bug, this may be of interest for ResHacker users (hats-off to people who write patches in... |
