Some days are good, other days, well, I don't turn on the computer.
Taskbar - I put in zip.
It would be too light to see the taskbar hover, at least on Win10.
What I did was make two textures from the top bar and one from menu,
but darkened a little so taskbar can still use white text.  |

Or try Splitwirez' one, made a long time ago:

Either use system glass color, or use the " Override glass color" setting in "Menu Look " tab.
Put it to any colour you want with the CSM color picker. |

I have not looked around lately at all the settings. So many!
Using CSM search box, entered :
selector, vanish, off, button, leave, go away, kaput, delay.
I finally tried "fade"
I put delay to 0
Kills the menu, and the "lingering" like a time shift. |

I can only change the color, texture, or some shapes.
Skinning can't change the function of the program.
Need to ask Ivo if it's possible, or if there is some registry tweak.
Maybe it's the persistence of my eyes, but if I click on a dark grey Win 10 Win-X menu entry, it lingers a little too. |

Oh, OK. Yeah that lingering clicked button makes for some strange effects sometimes.
Selector buttons come in all types. Flat , gradient, one line borders to many line borders, and combinations of them all. The borders seem be made, so selector button is visible with light and dark menus. |

I have no idea about the blue border behind.
I don't see it, clicking on all option combinations.
I tried on CSM v4.3.0 and 4.3.1.
A settings conflict somewhere, or just something on desktop showing through, but there is no blur?

| OK, finished upgrading Skin7 style with the extra 20 pixel bar height for 144 DPI (150% size). Can disable the band at top, for plain look. Scatterbrain text in file is all over the place. I have started updating the 7 style skin with 20 extra pixel top bar/band height for 144 dpi.
I can only spend around 30 to 60 minutes a day on it, so might end up finished in a week or two. |

| To have main menu bitmaps to have 1.5 times top bar/band height for HiDPI, would mean making 50 to 60 extra main menu bitmaps. Having offset user picture does not work properly. Could only be in center. I just don't have time for big projects anymore. They would have to be spaced out one every month... |

If you are using a 7 style skin at HiDPI and find picture is too small, here are some frames to use. The .skin7 file would need to be edited carefully to avoid conflicts, with spacing, etc. |
