Correct. I just tested the infected file on a sacrificial system with both "UEFI" and "Legacy boot" options in the BIOS. Presuming most new systems use EFI, infection would be rather limited as a whole.

I'm going to flatten and reinstall tonight anyway.

Never ran into any problems listed this thread. Seems like the compromised file only works on older non GPT/EFI systems. I uninstalled Classic Shell and did multiple virus scans and restarted it and everything was okay. Reinstalled with Ivo's mediafire link and restarted again and everything is stil...
