This is really bugging me. Shame that Classic Shell is closed source. I found the relevant dialog in ClassicStartMenuDLL.dll using res hacker but I have zero idea how to remove the close button and/or make the default close behaviour "save". Might have a look around to see if there's a pro... |

Most programs don't have live settings. Since Classic Start Menu has many settings that are live, there is no Apply button. It will only increase the number of clicks: change some setting -> Apply -> open Start menu to test it. Also, the settings dialog is shared with Classic Explorer and Classic I... |

Right click the drives you want and choose "Pin to Start Menu (Classic Shell). Thanks, but this still has the problem of unmounted drives showing. This also, because it creates .lnk files, means the right click menu is for the .lnk file and not the drive. This means not eject, format, etc. For... |

I'd like an apply button (preferably), or to be asked to save changes on close/cancel. Sometimes I'm multitasking and forget that I need to explicitly click ok or I lose all of the menu changes I've been working on - especially since changes go live instantly. Currently to save my work as I go I'd h... |

Argh ok no this isn't a solution, no matter what I do one or two of these folders pop in at random .
This has me seriously looking for alternatives, but there's not much out there . |

If you use Winaero Tweaker: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.1836, you can even remove the My Documents folder from "This PC" (via "Customize This PC folders" page). Ah, this is what I was searching for! Thank you so much. Interestingly (to me anyway) I used this to f... |

Right click the drives you want and choose "Pin to Start Menu (Classic Shell). Thanks, but this still has the problem of unmounted drives showing. There is no way to dynamically list only the contents directly of any folder in the main menu. As in not currently possible, or can't ever be possi... |

Hi, what I'm looking to do is display the child items of the 'Computer' special folder in the main menu of classic start menu (classic skin). There is no option to list sub-items inside their parent folder. This doesn't matter if I wanted to add singular items into the Computer sub-menu as that's ea... |
