| You can drag the .bat file you want to the Start button, wait for the menu to open and then drop it in the area where pinned shortcuts are there, or inside "All programs". That is one of the easiest ways to add it. Let me know if you could add it. |

| That means the Classic Start Menu isn't loading at startup. Just place a shortcut to C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe in your Startup folder. Do you see ClassicStartMenu.exe running in Task Manager after you restart? |

| Right click the Start button -> Help. Look at the Administrative Settings section. You can lock down specific settings for all users or simply change the defaults for all users without locking them. |

For Programs, there is a global setting on the 'Menu Look' tab. Set "Multiple columns in sub-menus" to "Use single column (scroll)".
You can also change main menu and sub menu scrolling speed to 6 to scroll at the same speed Windows classic menu did from 'General Behavior' tab. |

| There aren't plans to add anything to Classic Shell for it would require introducing another separate component from Start Menu or Explorer add-ins. Maybe a Sidebar launcher gadget could fill the void or some free dock solution. There were many launcher gadgets for Vista/7. |

By 'thumbnail view', do you mean 'filmstrip view' or do you mean the flat folder thumbnails used by XP Explorer? MS made folder thumbnail style icons non-customizable in Vista/7/8, so they can't be changed.  They only show in the 3D/angled style. |

| ^^ What he said. Classic Shell is free to use and to distribute for free. As long as you don't charge for it, you are fine. There is nothing preventing you from using it on Windows 8, as long as the corporate/college policy allows it. |

| Yes, AMM is also extremely good. It's very fast and has that cool feature to bring all windows automatically to the monitor where the mouse pointer is when the windows are created/appear. |

| In Windows 8, the Up button next to Back/Forward buttons is added by Microsoft so Classic Shell doesn't add it. But you can use the "Up" button from the Explorer Toolbar. That will open the parent folder in a new window with Ctrl+Up clicked. |

| Nope I meant if Ivo will update CS's glass to more closely match taskbar color. I didn't mean you have to modify the skin. Compared to Start8, the color doesn't match if the color intensity is reduced. |

I like your skin. I meant in general Classic Shell code needs to be tuned more so at hue, saturation, brightness, and color intensity, the taskbar color will be matched on Windows 8. |

| If the files aren't there at C:\Program Files\Classic Shell, something else is skipping Metro on your PC. Another Start menu replacement or Skip Metro Suite. Check your startup programs using Task Manager's Startup tab. |
