I use this great software on both my laptop and desktop. A couple of days ago, it was gone on my laptop,so I reinstalled it. Now the same happened on my desktop. When looking in my log, the systems said that it had removed this "app" because it was not compatible with this new update. Is there any solution for this? Can I force the computer into keeping the program, or is there a update in the near future that will fix this?

Fix Classic Shell on Windows 10 Anniversary Update: http://winaero.com/blog/fix-classic-she ... ry-update/

Although if you continue to use Windows 10, this will be an ongoing issue. I suggest Windows 7 or 8.1 with Classic Shell.

There are sure multiple issues linked to the Windows 10 Anniversary update.

Take my case for example :

On my 64 bit system, the update generated a popup message telling that ClassicShell was uninstalled , because "it does not work with this Windows version"

However it does not seem to have been uninstalled at all !

Despite the fact that after installation of that update, Windows 10 started with the Microsoft's idea how to start an "operating" (?)system , Classic Shell appeared to be still active after a simple switch to it.

However that stupid popup message still keeps appearing at each boot. I wonder how to get rid of that popup ! :?:
The system now always starts as before ... showing Classic Shell.

No further problems encountered so far.

I wonder also if re-installing Clasic Shell again would be accepted on my system

Thank you
