Hi fellow win8 users,

I was wondering, is it possible to link the windows 8 mail app which is bundled with windows 8? Everytime I try to reconfigure with the address line of the win8 mail app, there is always a window popping up saying that I do not have an outlook account.

Does this therefore mean I must use an outlook account to use the classic shell windows quick launch toolbar?

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Classic Shell has nothing to do with the quick launch toolbar or the mail app.

Do you mean the email button on the Classic Explorer toolbar? AFAIK, the Windows 8 Mail app only supports mailto: protocol, the toolbar button uses MAPI. Mail app doesn't support MAPI plus Metro apps are sandboxed so it may not be possible.
