I have been using Classic Shell version 4.2.5 on my VAIO Windows 10 laptop for about 10 months with no problems. Today Micros--t decided to automatically push the latest build (14393.447 I think it was) to my laptop.
After installation was complete, I found that Classic Shell had been uninstalled and deleted, also my Intel WiDi app was gone too. Message received said they were not compatible with the latest build. I shot off a scathing message to them asking if they had bought and paid for my expensive laptop and sought my permission to mess with it.
I have also discovered that Intel no longer support their WiDi app so there is no update for it so I am now forced to use MS's Miracast feature. Hopefully that will work the next time MS do the build update.
Fortunately I was able to roll the new build back to the version 10586, but that is only a short term fix. I have downloaded version 4.3.0 of Classic Shell but have not yet installed it. I assume I can install without uninstalling 4.2.5 first.
