I am using Windows 8 and IE 10, the progress bar is not showing, any suggestions? (classic shell otherwise working fine) |

You need to enable the status bar - View -> Toolbars -> Status bar |

This suggestion worked at the time, but now despite uninstalling Classic Shell and reinstalling, and satus bar ticked I am still not getting the progress bar - any suggestions? |

Mostly likely, your IE addons aren't enabled. Try the steps in the FAQ and restart IE: http://classicshell.net/faq/#ie9_caption . All Classic Shell related addons will have to be enabled in 'Manage addons' dialog. |
