Classic Shell: Forum

Hi, I'm using Classic Shell for a while now, but I've never found a good skin for it. So, I'm using standard Windows 7 theme, and I use Windows 7 Classic Start Menu style. While the default Windows Aero skin is great, the fact that it's dimming the glass is bugging me. Especially that I wanted to use Se7en VG skin which has fully transparent start menu, and 1 - it has a problem with start menu in 64-bit systems that causes the searchbar has those ugly red and yellow stripes, and 2 - Classic Shell is much more elastic than the default start menu, and that's why I rather use CS than Windows start menu.

So, is there a tweak to remove these shadows or can someone make a skin like this please?

Try this skin for the Classic Start Menu: download/file.php?id=1072 It has fully transparent glass like the Se7en VG theme.

Also you can tweak the glass further by using a freeware tool like AeroBlend: http://www.carthagosoft.net/AeroBlend.php

Thanks! But the only thing that is missing in this skin, and would save a lot of nerves, is some shadows under the font, so the text would be visible on white backgrounds, as the Se7en VG does have that kind of shadowing on the font, and it doesn't seem to be an option in Classic Shell. :/
