| Post subject: | Keeping Classic Shell? |
Hello Everyone, i dont like the windows 10 start menu so I changed it to the Classic Shell. but after updates were installed on my laptop last night the windows 10 start menu appeared again. I then changed it back to the Classic but each time i start the laptop up again after a shutdown removes the Classic. How can i keep the Classic shell and stop the windows 10 start menu from changing it back again? I have no problems with a registry hack if thats what it called for, Thanks |

First creat a backup of your settings (right click start button, go to settings, then backup near the bottom then save as .xml) Next we will remove classic shell completely Download the classic shell utility from here: http://classicshell.net/downloads/ Then select 'Remove classic shell' Next we reinstall with the correct installer from http://classicshell.net/ Let me know if that solves your issue, otherwise we need to take more troubleshooting steps |
