My new SAMSUNG laptop came with Windows 8 installed
. I then loaded Classic Shell and the taskbar behaved predictably, in keeping with the windows history of problems with the taskbar*. When I upgraded to windows 8.1, I had to re-install Classic Shell, but now the taskbar remains
constantly locked, though I clicked the taskbar, and clicked it
unlocked, to no avail. It covers essential parts of some displays and I don't like it on the sides.
*I know of the past Windows (7 continued on to 8) history on how some applications(???) override the unlocked state. Any solutions???
