updated to include selecting "Track Recent Items" so any program launched from this folder gets tracked in your "Recent Programs" menu |

Tenzen:Following your instructions with CSv3.6.8 (1), I did not produce the "Program Launcher" menu item in your tutorial. Instead, I got a "Start Menu" item, with a blank line above. Please see attached screenshot. What should I have done differently?

ok, any idea which step you're going wrong with? well, its basically just the folder where "PintoCSM" pins to.. so you can maybe try to look at the properties of one of the pinned items, then open its location, and copy the entire path... i use x64 win 7, so if you are on x32 or win8, im guessing it might be different.. let me know if that helps.. |

Hi again. Before I saw your post on sending you my settings, I logically (?) did a Reset Start Menu, thinking I would get my original installation back. Wrong. I lost the Status Bar in Windows Explorer, and can't get it back. The Settings item disappeared from the right hand side of my W7-style Start Button menu, the Log off button migrated to the Shutdown submenus, and I cannot figure out how to add additional menu and submenu items, other than doing a drag & drop form the Available commands: side of the Customize Start Menu tab. Noticing all these differences, I did a thorough Revo Uninstall, because I had previously done a Revo Install, so I thought I could reinstall Classic Shell into my "cleaned" Windows 7 x64 Home Premium system. Wrong again. I am not getting your initial installation back; I'm just getting back the exact configuration I uninstalled with Revo. Can someone please tell me where Classic Shell & Classic Explorer v3.6.8 keep Registry, .INI, and other file settings which Revo Uninstaller Pro cannot locate? I would really love to start again with a clean installation, and do a better job of modifying it than I did the first time. To help your work, I sent in another modest contribution via PayPal. |

The settings are per user and stored in HKCU\Software\IvoSoft. You can delete the entire key. You have to do it while Classic Shell is not installed. To reset all settings while Classic Shell is installed, click on the Backup button and select "Reset all settings". You need to do that for each component - the start menu, Classic Explorer, etc. If you are not seeing a status bar in Explorer, then it is turned off from Explorer. Go to View -> Statusbar. Classic Shell does not show or hide the status bar, it only changes what information is displayed there. |
