ie 11 has issues. the new browser in windows 10 [edge]is better but is missing the menu bar. i.e. file edit view favorites tools help. can you fix this? many people are discussing this, but have not come up with an answer. |

Edge does not support extensions. Also even if it did, it is so badly designed from a usability perspective that no amount of addons could fix its extremely poor UI design. IE will still be supported by Microsoft forever for compatibility reasons. I would recommend you give Maxthon a try. (http://www.maxthon.com/). |

I tried it, and it seems pretty good.....but it doesn't have the menu bar, and just as annoying, you can't turn off tabbing. So are you saying the menu can't be added ever to "edge" because of extensions? |

Correct. Right now a menu bar absolutely cannot be added but even if Microsoft added extension support, it might be similar to Chrome where addons can't really modify the UI. The UI will mostly be locked down and non-customizable. Yes, Maxthon lacks a menu bar but its Alt+F menu is much better than Chrome or other browsers. What I miss in Maxthon are the same things that Classic Shell adds to IE: the page title and page loading progress bar. |

So are you saying the menu can't be added ever to "edge" because of extensions? You might like Pale Moon or Sea Monkey then. They both have interfaces with menu bars and status bars, and tabs can be disabled on them. Pale Moon is more up-to-date and has more extension support, but you might not like the way it handles disabling tabs. The same might go for Firefox too, but its developers are like Microsoft and plan on removing more customization options...

My latest favorite browser is the Chromium-based Opera after heavily customizing it. Maxthon is just too slow, suffers badly in the performance area. |

I actually havnt given opera a try in a while I used to love it before they switched to chromium based (I think i quit shortly after the switch because the new version was so unstable) |
