Hi,

first of all, congratulations on a fantastic program!

Here is one little issue I found which I'd rather have put in the "feature requests" forum, but for some reason I'm not allowed to create a new topic there.

When using Windows 7/Vista menu and placing the user name and account picture at the top, the username is truncated after very few characters. See attached screenshot.

So, I'd suggest that either the second column gets expanded automatically, or that an option is included in the configuration somewhere to either specify a column width or a number of characters after which the user name should get truncated.

Should such an option already be present I apologize as I haven't found it and you are welcome to point me in the right direction. :)

Lars

There was something wonky with the permissions. I fixed them and moved the topic to "feature requests".

I agree. Most people's user name gets truncated easily and there is no newbie friendly way without editing the skin to make it show the full user name. The right column should either self-adjust or a slight smaller, thinner and more beautiful font like Segoe UI should be used to make all efforts to accommodate the user name.

cant you add spaces to the name of one of your options in the left menu, to push the menu out wider?

Just checked and any spaces at the end of a label get truncated off, even alt+255 (non-breaking space) but you can still put a bunch of spaces followed by a period (sadly still visible though)

why are the spaces removed from the right side of a label anyways?

I use classic two colunm style and want my full name to be shown in the menu. it gets cut even if I hide display pic. if I show display pic then only four letters of my name show. how to fix this? metro start screen shows full user name and display pic. maybe you guys could add user name on multiple lines and move display pic above it

How many characters is your user name, and which skin are you using?

It would be cool if there could be the following 3 built-in menu items:

  • Account Name & Picture
  • Account Name
  • Account Picture
and it would be cool if we could drag them anywhere we want, using either Account Name & Picture, or Only Account Name, or only Account Picture, or Account Name & Account Picture separately, like this:
