Bare Glass for Windows 10 [Classic 1/2] Works on CSM ver 4.3.0 With semi translucent white menu option (experiment) I played with this old skin, to add translucency blur option, like a picture Splitwirez posted, of some update of Groove app. It didn't turn out so well. The large blur scatter size in the app isn't the same, as on menu. I like the small blur radius on regular glass color menu, on CU update though. On top of that, the residual glass color taints the whole menu. After using for awhile, I don't like it. It's like when a white, and red shirt go into the wash. The white shirt gets color bleed. It was just a test. I changed transparency alpha level to 200/255 in bitmap to reduce the bleed. Then put Glass opacity at 25 in CSM settings. It is very mild when I set opacity on default, almost unnoticeable with most wallpaper desktops. I added options to reset to normal dark glass color menu, whatever normal is these days. Win 10 Note The lower the alpha value in bitmap = higher bleed through glass color. The lower the CSM Glass opacity setting = lower bleed through color. Other Believe it or not, the skin was originally Claude Glass, which it looked like the negative of Smoked Glass, made possibly back in 2010 by Ivo, and Gaurav. I kept cutting, and adding bits, and pieces to get what it is today. I don't know if I caught all the logic errors adding the white option. Let me know if a combination has wrong mask, or something.

Hi fonpaolo. I believe I fixed the text logic this time. My frustration has passed. I deleted my other posts. This bare bones Win 10 skin, devoid of any character, I'm sure, is not for you. Thanks for helping me get through the script editing. |

The blur on white is nice. |

Every update, even small Win10 updates, like the Calculator update just yesterday, has changed it all again. Now parts are more grey, and they have added random noise to parts of image. I can't keep up to MS. The non stretching noise can be replicated in Classic shell, with a pattern mask and noise image. Edit Update July 20 2017 Replaced and updating this post, about trying to copy off Windows Calculator, Groove apps, with the random noise in alpha channel. It can be done, but I gave up. All I got was a white glass menu with dirty dust on it! I like smooth, so I made a newer revision skin, without the dust. Bare Glass revB.skin Changed white glass to very mild transparency. If you want more transparency, turn down opacity setting in CSM settings. Added no icons option for both main menu columns. Added option for rounded selectors. Only round shape with default icon/font 96DPI-100%, 120DPI-125%, 144DPI-150% sizes, or will distort bigly.
