Seems like both my link and URL-webpage had some trouble. It have been fixed and the download link should work again.

thank you for making this pack first off.

id like to pose a question though. when implementing one or any of these icons as the new start menu icon, the size of the image was enormous. im glad that the detail is there for the smoothness of the image but i only saw one option for changing the size of the image in the configuration of the classic shell menu, which was already set to 0.

could you offer any suggestions on how to scale down the image so that it fits at roughly the same size as the standard aero start button image that the classic shell program comes standard with?

when changing the image size to 1 it defaulted to the aero image, and when setting to -5 it did the same. thanks again for the images, and the good work you put into them. hoping to get some assistance on this issue from a first timer, and new to IT guy.

0 means use default icon size, try setting it to around 48, and adjusting from there :P

Make sure to set the size to 48 as Jcee mentioned, it should work out nice.

I'll make sure to post something new here once I have manage to make a new bigpack with my own created icons. I will update the first post in this thread with pack no. 2. (There is no deadline on this project.)

Download the .zip attached to the first post
extract the .zip somewhere on your hardrive
right click your classic shell start button and choose settings
go to the start button tab
select custom button, and for the button image; option browse to the desired file

Right click your start button go to settings,
find the 'windows 8 settings' tab and check Skip Metro Screen, and hit OK
on your next restart you should go straight to the desktop

please, isn't there this issue: Skip Metro Screen
there is only: disable active corners


how can i do???

Upgrade to Classic Shell 3.9.3 beta. It reintroduces the Skip Metro Screen option which now controls the native Windows 8.1 setting to boot to desktop.
