I don't have favorites disabled in Windows Explorer, but they don't show in the navigation pane like they do on machines not using Classic Shell Explorer. The top item in the pane is "Desktop." I've gone through the settings several times, and tried googling but have not found how to include it in the navigation pane. I did find a question on the forum about adding it to the toolbar, which I did.

How can add favorites to the navigation pane.

Classic Shell does not show or hide the Favorites item in the navigation tree.
What version of Windows do you have?

Windows 7 by default should have Favorites at the top. There are some registry hacks to make it go away. Classic Shell doesn't do anything to add or remove that item.

Windows 8 has an option to toggle Favorites if you click on the "Navigation pane" button in the View tab of t he ribbon.

Thanks for continuing to help me. Based on your advice, I googled removing favorites from the explorer navigation pane in Windows 7. I found several tutorials on the registrty hack. I checked them and found that my machine had the hack already so I restored the registry value to default. Voila, Favorites is back in the Classic Shell Explorer navigation pane on reboot.

I own a small computer reselling business, and it looks like on of my techs was helping me out customizing my machine a little too much. (appropriate smiley goes here)

Can ClassicShell display favorites in the navigation pane of W10 file explorer instead of quick access?

I can pin my favorites or links folder to quick access in the navigation folder but they don't expand like they used to. I can only click on the folder and see the shortcuts in the file pane which is not helpful.

I want to see my list of shortcuts appear in the navigation pane so I can click once on the folder I need to open.

Thanks!
