Hi,
win 7 64 bit pro
Classic Shell (installed month ago)
drives mentioned are all internal.

I maximise explorer, select E drive, open a folder at left pane, examine contents visually then click on E drive again and all is well, explorer windows stays maximised, open another folder then minimise window.
Open a new instance of windows explorer and again select E drive to examine a different folder, open the folder, then click on E drive and the window loses maximisation, its part off and on screen lower right.

If I have two or more instances of win explorer open for E drive, the second and subsequent ones won't hold maximisation.

Try again this time first window E drive, then create another for D and both behave ok and hold maximisation.

Try another experiment, both this time D drive and both behave.

I am unable to have two windows open for E drive, without forever having to maximise the window after every move backwards in the address !

If I have the windows both for D then navigate to E they behave !

Another test, close all explorers that are open, then open explorer , it opens maximised. and click J drive then minimise, open another explorer and click J drive, still ok, still maximised. so I have two for J both stay maximised.
carry on for the other drives, all stay maximised for the second matching drive letter,
D though this time loses maximisation, E lives up to its reputation as always.

Trouble is I am using E drive a lot so this is a real pain.

DBenz

This doesn't sound like a Classic Shell issue. To verify, you can uninstall Classic Shell and see if the problem remains.
There used to be some program for remembering the window position in Explorer for each folder. Maybe you have something like that running?
