Classic Shell: Forum

Ok all, I'm new to the forum thing and have no idea what I'm doing, but I think it's the best way for me to get an answer to my problem. I am fed up with not being able to arrange items within a folder like I could with XP; it's really frustrating trying to organize my pics so I can rename them in the order I want. This is not a new issue, I know. After some research online I downloaded Classic Shell, but I'm still not getting the option to disable auto arrange. Have I been misled, and this is not an issue that Classic Shell addresses? Or am I missing something? Any solutions (that don't require me to endanger my computer beyond my limited fix-it capabilites) would be much appreciated.
