hello.

first off, congrats on the product.

i have windows 7.

the settings for windows 'sound' are set on 'no sound'. not even the start up sound. i can't stand them.

anyway. it seems that by installing my beloved classic shell these settings are perturbed, as there are definitely sounds accompanying my moves on windows. can i please turn them off ? if so, where ? if not, i will have to uninstall. unless someone can provide me with a clever trick on how to silence my computer's ticks and clicks and diverse irritating noises.

thank you in advance.

Classic Shell does not mess with the sound settings. By default it uses the OS menu settings. You can remove the sounds completely by clearing the settings in the Sounds tab. However if the sounds are not coming from the start menu then they are unrelated to Classic Shell.

I am talking about the Classic Start Menu settings - right-click on the start button and select Settings.
Again, if the sounds are not coming from the start menu (they play when you don't use the menu) then they are not related to Classic Shell. Is that the case?
