I've seen numerous threads about this since Windows 10 dropped, and two years on I still can't find a solution.

In W10 all the folder images which display on the preview either stretch or show a horrible white border (if the dimensions are equal). Apparently this was one of the idiotic 'improvements' Microsoft made, which meant if you had a collection of Music with corresponding artwork in the folder, that artwork image (folder.jpg), would go from filling up the folder in the preview, to having a big white border around the image.

I used Classic Shell on Windows 8.1, brilliant program, but can Classic Shell fix this annoyance from Windows 10?

Explorer folder previews cannot be modified. They are completely ruined after XP because they are angled making it harder to decipher them and to make things worse, Windows 10 as you said is distorting their proportion/aspect ratio.

But you can use Windows 8.1 for a really long time and pretend that Windows 10 does not exist. :mrgreen:
