This has to be easier than it seems. How do you disable Classic Explorer and keep Classic Start Menu?

You can choose to not install Classic Explorer during setup. Or if Classic Explorer has already been installed, then start the installer for the same version again and choose "Change" and click Next. Click the Drive icon to the left of "Classic Explorer" in that dialog and choose "Entire feature will be unavailable".

Or you can have Classic Explorer installed but disabled by going to Internet Options -> Programs tab -> Manage Add-ons and disabling Explorer related addons in that dialog.

Seems to me that this should be in a FAQ somewhere, no?

As to uninstalling components, it's not the first application that I've encountered that works like this, but it's fairly uncommon.

As to disabling the Explorer enhancements, I'm not sure I'd seen any mention that Classic Explorer consisted of only add-ons to Explorer. In any case, I wouldn't have known where to find the means to disable them.

Is there anything in the Help about any of this?
