What kind of options are you looking for?

Folder Options X has a few options

do you mean the Folder View Options?

theres also System Folders Customizer

You can Create a New Button for the standard View Properties found in Organize > Folder and Search Options:

  • Classic Explorer Settings > Toolbar Buttons Tab
  • Drag "Custom Command" from the right window to the left window
  • Right-click CustomItem > Rename to "FolderOptions"
  • Right-click "FolderOptions" > Edit Item
    • Command: %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Options_RunDLL 7
    • Icon: imageres.dll, 166
  • Click OK, Restart Explorer
  • Done

There is one problem though why a "Folder Options" button may be required/worth adding. If you open it using rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Options_RunDLL 7, the "Apply to all folders" button is greyed out. :)

interesting.. but i usually just use that for showing hidden system files which i usually have turned off,. and if i need to see them, its usually just in a single folder anyway.. i'm not sure what you'd need to play around with it often for.. maybe if we knew exactly what he uses it for, we could find a better solution

Hi, works very well for me... I too use it often for showing/hidden system files (and I prefer a toolbar button instead use "Tools/Folder options" menu for this case).

For me is closed case.

Thanks for the tip.

P.S. Although maybe be better add this directly as a Available Command in "Toolbar Buttons" tab of "Classic Shell Settings" dialog box. :)

If you want a faster way to toggle hidden/system files, there is also StExBar which is another killer addon for Explorer. Btw this is just an unofficial recommendation. :)
