This all started as a flaw in Sagorpirbd's Windows 7 Aero for Windows 10 Visual Style. The caption buttons didn't look quite right to me, but I thought they were hilarious for some reason, and so I ported them to BorderSkin. Then, I decided to create a Start Menu skin and Button to match. Not sure whether that was anything more than an excuse to share the BorderSkin theme here, but nonetheless there's a Start Menu skin too. Behold, the stupidity:

EDIT: BorderSkin is not associated with Classic Shell in any way at all, whatsoever, and no-one on this board is responsible for any problems you may have with it. In fact, I have a feeling I probably shouldn't even have mentioned it at all...meh, too late now .-.

Yeah, that's happened to me too, but when modding a Classic Shell skin.
Maybe some skinning parameters are same in Start is back, and Windowblinds, or other?

For the Classic Shell skin,
the more I played with the numbers, the worse it got.
I had to make a drawing, for quick reference as to what the heck is going on.
Maybe it's wrong, better than nothing.

Besides the "Search_background_padding",
there is also similar "Search_background_jump_padding",
and "Search_background_search_padding".

Confusing eh?

I don't know what caption buttons are. Is that the joke?

The outside colored fat border looks nice.

Be carefull with some of the links in that Deviant site.

Caption buttons are the _ |=| X in the top right corner of each window. The joke is that they're still huge and uniform in size, like those in Windows 10




That Visual Style is legit. Sagorpirbd is a legitimate VS artist. I've used some of his other work, with no problems.

I didn't download her/his theme yet, or the BorderSkin, or yours.
It was Uxstyle theme patcher, I was after. I tried that link again. Antivirus didn't give any alarm bells this time.
Maybe page had temp hijack, or false reading? Don't know.

About the caption buttons. Plenty big.

Can Border skin make the taskbar transparent for ZoNi?

Just looked. Male from Bangladesh, 8 years and running. He is in a league of his own.
His stuff is so excellent.

Oh, UxStyle? Well of course that could come up as malicious - it's like warning someone that they are surrounded by functional weapons...in a museum of weapons (My point being, it's supposed to do stuff at a low level ._. )

BorderSkin doesn't touch the Taskbar, unfortunately :/

HOWEVER he already has a tool to de-blur it, and a regular visual style would be sufficient to "remove" the bitmap (or, you know....just make it completely transparent...) :Y

I actually had that theme when I used win10 but I changed my title bar size to look make it look normal.
