Hi
I have searched the forum for post on removing the white border around Classic menu, but find nothing.

See Clipboard01, then on clipboard02 the white border has been remove (using photopaint) (post preview show the files in the wrong order)
Anyone know how I can achieve this effect, I'm using clrSharp2 Glass with
Enable menu glass
Glass opacity:0

Many thanks
Mike

That border is added by the skin itself, If you want to do it, you will need to open the .skin file with reshacker, export the appropriate bitmaps. (see: http://www.classicshell.net/tutorials/skintutorial.html for more info) modify, then re-import them. If you would like this done for you, attach the .skin file to this thread, or attach a link to download it. Then someone may decide to take on your request, though the modifications aren't too difficult in this instance.

Amazing

Jcee
That was a VERY fast response. :o

OK got resource Hacker and opened a copy of clrSharp2 Glass

Looking at
SKIN
................1:1033
Line 25-26
Main_bitmap=1
Main_opacity=fullglass

Then
Bitmap
.................1:1033

I see the bitmap I think I should edit.
But saving the bitmap, removing the white line round it and replacing with black (Menu color), then saving and replacing the bitmap it did nothing.
I then replaced bitmaps 2 to 8
Still no joy

I have added the file if anyone can give me a bit of guidance.

Note I have already changed the bitmaps 1 to 8 in this file.

Thanks
Pegleg

:D
Jcee

Thank you

The Menu now looks awesome, using transparent and "0" glass opacity it just hangs there against the windows background.

i have looked at your bitmap and compaired it to, what I thought the bitmap should be, and I don't really understand what you did different.
I shall read the instructions for making skins again, and again.
Some of the explanations I don't understand, even though I'm 'English, what is meant by "optional mask that determines how to mix the bitmap resource with the system colors".
I cannot find a definition for "System color".
Don't worry I will play around and either produce a skin that is the Be All and End All, dedicated to Jcee, or if there is a total system melt down in Europe, I got it wrong .

Thanks again
Pegleg

tee2 is the origional
tee is the new one
you will likely have to zoom in. but aside from the fact that mine is entirely black, you will note a lack of a border
