Since installing version 4.2.0, Classic Shell resizes my taskbar. Installing 4.2.1 does the same thing. I have confirmed this on multiple computers running Win 7 32 bit and 64 bit.
I have re-installed version 4.1.0 and the problem goes away.
It always resizes when I reboot. It also happens occasionally during the day while using the computers (not sure what I'm doing when it happens)
My taskbar is set to autohide and locked.
Hope you can fix.

Rob.

How does it resize? Can you show me before and after pictures?

Yes, a video or photo of your taskbar resizing issue will help understand what is happening.

Not sure if images will help but attached two jpgs. The second jpg shows the taskbar just after I've booted. The taskbar is very narrow and not where I last set it. The first image shows where I set the task bar to manually. If I reboot from there, the width returns to the wrong size as per the second image.
If it's worth anything, my desktop is set to Windows Classic and Classic Start Menu is set to not replace the start button.

Rob.

Try uninstalling Classic Shell temporarily for a few days or disable the automatic launching the Start Menu by unchecking the setting "Start automatically for this user" from the "General Behavior" tab in Start Menu settings. Launch it manually after you reboot/resume from hibernate and see if it goes away after extended use without Classic Shell or by launching the Start Menu manually. This appears to be a Windows bug: http://www.sevenforums.com/customizatio ... skbar.html

I am having the same problem with version 4.3 with the taskbar along the right side of the screen. I found the simplest solution was to widen the borders of windows, to make the edge of the taskbar easier to grab hold of to drag back to where I want it, but they made the dialog for doing this damned hard to find in Windows 7. Go to Personalization, then do a search for "change windows colors". When you find the dialog, there's an entry for "Active Window Border" which lets you change both the color and the width of the (duh) active window's border. the width setting affects inactive windows, too. But it might only work for "Classic" themes.
