Dear Classic Shell Fans, i would like to replace the Button in Classic old Style like this: (1.jpg) but with this new Logo near Start (Metro Button Size 2.bmp) her the Button as I imagine (orig.jpg)

For the Classic button, you need an icon (*.ICO), not an image. Here, I made a ready-to-use icon for you:

all your images must be joint together.normal - hover - click. see mine i made 300px each picture

Please do as follows: 1. Right click the Start button and open Settings. 2. Go to the "Start Button" tab. 3. Choose the "Classic" button, not the "Custom" button. This is because you said you wanted the classic old style button.  4. Click on 'Button icon' (not button image). Then click the [...] next to it. 5. Now select the icon by browsing to it and point it to this .ICO file: http://www.classicshell.net/forum/download/file.php?id=376 . (You will have to first extract the icon from the ZIP file.) 6. Click OK twice. |

Aha you have the button set to "Custom" not "Classic" as I instructed. When set to Classic, the 'Button image' setting becomes greyed out and the 'Button icon' setting becomes enabled. You supply the icon there, then it will show properly. |

Please follow the exact instructions here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=855#p4327 and you will get a classic style button with the Windows 8 logo. You are probably selecting custom button instead of classic button. Or clicking on 'button image' instead of 'button icon'.
