Can the search results be displayed like in Windows 7 - hiding the main list instead of as popup?

Just adding my vote here, I'm fine with how it is now, but I really liked that feature

I would also love to see better searching added to Classic Shell. In particular, it would be great if it would leverage the built-in Windows Search to allow searching for random files and other indexed items. In addition, it should be possible to support Advanced Query Syntax for more powerful searches.

Even if this can't be implemented, I give many thanks to Ivo, Gaurav, and any other contributors for their work on Classic Shell. You guys rock!

Adding my vote about the search results. I'd prefer also if the search results are displayed over the main window.

In fact if the popup window is positioned right on top of the main applications with proper size it would have the same effect. Should be easy

The current version of Classic Shell that is in beta has Windows Search integration and inline search results. See some screenshots here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=753

Now the public beta is available from the home page with true Windows 7 style. Try it if you are interested. :)
