Hi,

I lookafter the computer systems for my local Hospital Radio Service (Charity) and I am pretty new to Windows 8. I am trying to make the newly purchased Win 8 PC as painless for our volunteers as possible. Classic Shell would do this very well but it doesnt auto run for all domain users. I have installed it and it works great with my user account but it doesnt automatically run for other accounts. In the settings -> General Behavior there is the option to "run automatically for this user" but no option for all users. Can anyone help. We are running a server 2008 domain controller.

Thanks

The default behavior is to run for all users. The option is there to disable the start menu for individual users.

Download the Classic Shell troubleshooting utility from here:http://www.mediafire.com/download/3ukeryzw41qpfz8/ClassicShellUtility.exe
Log in as one of the users that is experiencing the problem. Run the tool and save the report file. Attach the file here.

@3EyedPhish: a registry key is missing. Did you upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1? If so, you need to run the installer again and click on the Repair button.
