something weird just happened, I cant acces the mtro icons, apps, i cant even restart my computer anymore because the star button is not working, is this the fault of classic shell?

I uninstalled it and still I get thrown directly to desktop and not metro

what is happening?

I have to manually shut down win 8.1 with power button now because i cant acces restart menu

What happens when you press the Win key?
What happens if you click on the desktop and press Alt+F4?

if I press alt and f4 i can access shutdown menu

win key does nothing

has this happened to somebody else?

I mean it seems to be connected with your program because without it it would throw me to metro directly

It is possible the settings are messed up. Open Explorer window, go to Program Files\Classic Shell, run the Start Menu Settings shortcut, and then use the Backup button to reset the settings.

I managed to get it back by doing last update for win 8.1

I could not do restore on any of the system restore files, nothing worked

I uninstalled your program
I am stuck with original now, I am too afraid to put it back

I managed to get into control panel by clicking on action center icon in tray, somehow, then I did win update and now at least it is working but without your program sadly

It's working for me on 2 desktops and 1 laptop without ANY problems. Don't give up.

I figured it out how to get my start menu button back.

I opened Explorer, went to program files, Classic Shell, Start Menu Settings, And I had to check to add the start menu button again.
Now I can access my apps from start menu and life is good again.
