Is it possible to place shortcuts to Win8 Apps on the desktop?

Also my tablet has got hardware Windows button. How can I assign it to open Start Menu without affecting Win key? Startisback does that but I want to use Classic Shell.

Thank you for writing an awesome utility. I use it on every tablet I own.

Here's how to create a shortcut to any modern app on the Desktop: http://winaero.com/blog/exclusive-how-t ... rt-screen/ without using any third party software.

Classic Shell doesn't yet have the functionality as of version 4.1.0 to differentiate the hardware button on tablets from the Windows key.

In next version, please add ability to assign Metro screen to hardware key on tablets or custom action like Show Desktop in Metro, Start Menu in Desktop.

There is no way to distinguish between the hardware key and the keyboard key. They work the exact same way.
