Does any version of Classic Shell work with 64-bit Win7 Pro's Virtual XP Pro?

I get an error message that the installer can't find a file in the user.dll library file. The user.dll library file in 64-bit Win7 is considerably larger than the one in Virtual XP; I copied it to to the Virtual Xp's user.dll library location, but then Virtual XP wouldn't open, and I had to reinstall it.

the virtual XP is basically XP. Classic Shell does not support Windows XP at all.

I'm sorry to hear that, and it seems I'm not the only Classic Shell user with the same "problem".

I've used Classic Shell with Win7 since 2010 (and *thought* I had used it with XP) but, when I upgraded from 32-bit Win7 HP to 64-bit Win7 Pro, I installed Virtual XP because 64-bit Win7 is unable to run a couple of 16-bit programs I depend on, even in Compatibility Mode.
