I have an HP envy a very fast desktop with a lot of RAM 10GB with 1.5TB HD and Win 8.1 using Classic Shell...
I couldn't find a topic on Burning CD's here, so I went to Toms Hardware and found this:

http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1656 ... ndows.html

I've been trying for about an hour to convert what they say with my desktop set up with the Shell and using MS Media Player but not getting very far.

I'm trying to Burn from SeaGate, a Dos ISO file for troubleshooting/testing their HD's. I have
the file in a folder on Desktop labeled, Downloads and copied the file to my rw cd/dvd player but it
requires my "Burning" onto the disc to work properly. and that's where I am now.

If anyone can help translate this I'd appreciate it...it's 'fairly simple', but I'm just not the right translation to do it.

Classic Shell is only a suite containing a Start Menu and plugins to restore certain functionality in Windows File Explorer and Internet Explorer. Disc burning functionality is not affected in any way by Classic Shell.
