When selecting Control Panel menu item under Windows 8.1 correctly displays Control Panel window but shows "Large Icon view" rather than "Category view" which is the default view when Control Panel is selected from Windows 8.1 "Charms Panel"

Many Thanks for your solution. Found option you mentioned under "Special Items" rather than "Main Menu" and it worked OK Thanks again:D

It will be on the Special Items tab, if you are using the older 3.6.x release of Classic Shell. In version 4.0, it is moved to the Main Menu tab.

Ah right. If you're using the Classic style in 4.0, then it's still on the Special items tab. For Windows 7 style, it's on the Main Menu tab.
