Windows 7/8 Style "My Computer"

Windows 8.1 "This PC"

I want the navigation bar to the left to have the separation and position that it had previously. A separate "Libraries" category with Docuemnts, Music, Pictures, and Videos, and "This PC" or "My Computer" with drives and drives only.

I feel this feature would be perfectly implemented into Classic Explorer, as it could make Classic Explorer a way to get the old format back, much like Classic Shell Start Menu is for so many others.

Ill admit Im not a huge fan of the changes either:

Changing the name of my computer, to 'This PC" was a pointless move (and "Local" would make more sense anyways, if they were intent on changing it)

Combining devices and drives was kind of lame to.., and adding a folders section was a decent idea, however it could really use customization(users should be able to add/remove any folder)

It makes sense for "My Computer" to be the central hub for folders and links, since it is generally the first thing that pops up in an explorer window...

Thinking about it, Im kind of suprised they didnt make the my computer location far more customized than it currently is. (with links to recent folders, and whatnot)

You can use This PC Tweaker to add or remove folders: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.213 However the categories cannot be changed without modifying system files. They're hardcoded by Microsoft. Combining everything under "Devices and Drives" was a bad change. I certainly don't want my hard disk drives mixed up with removable drives or optical drives but that's the new Microsoft for you which doesn't treat users right, nor do they have logical reason for making such changes.

So is there no way to have Classic Shell or Classic Explorer modify this change?

No, Classic Shell does not modify system files.
