It would be great if you could use the "Glass (Blur)" effect (Windows 10/Customize Taskbar/Taskbar Look/Glass) without being required to select a color. The last update by Windows 10 removed the ability to use the blur effect via registry hack. The Glass/Blur enabled by Classic Shell still works fine, but I would like the color of the taskbar to chosen by the system (I.E. "Automatically pick an accent color from my background")... This makes the color of the taskbar match when using a slideshow background, which for me, at least, is always. Thanks, Mike P. |

If you leave the taskbar color as default (right-click -> Set Default). Then the taskbar will try to match the system accent color. It will be correct, unless you turn off the colorization of the taskbar from the Windows settings, or the color is overridden by a registry key. |

Wow, don't I feel silly. I made the assumption that "Set Default" merely changed it to the current system color. I didn't realize it would change along with the system color changes. As Benny Hill says, never assume... Many Thanks! Mike P. |
