Default settings installation in the 14 Jan, 2014 version of Classic Shell entirely disabled the Start menu after installation reboot, specifically after right clicking to change the theme. Now a right click will present a smaller menu, where you could originally access the Settings, but left click does not respond at all. Now no Start menu function means that a friend cannot do a System Recovery? Is there any way to uninstall Classic Shell without a working start menu? Re: Windows 8.1 on a laptop bought a few weeks ago. Your help would be most appreciated. |

You can press Win+X to open the hot corner menu, and then select the Control Panel from there. Then find Programs and Features, and uninstall Classic Shell from there. |
