Hi, it seems that when the ribbon is disabled in windows 8, the menu bar only shows up when the classic shell explorer toolbar is turned on. Is there an option to disable the menu bar as well? Thanks! It's much appreciated. =)

No, Microsoft designed Explorer in a way such that the menu bar is always shown as if at least one toolbar is enabled.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I was wondering if the 'file edit view tools help' menu bar was something built-in to classic shell, or if it wasn't. I'm not sure if the menu bar is shown with the ribbon enabled? Hmm
