In Windows 7, if your screen resolution changes (such as by loading a fullscreen game at a different resolution), or if you plug-in/unplug a second monitor repeatedly (particularly if you have icons stored on the extended desktop), the position of your desktop icons can become messed up.
It would be great if Classic Shell could add a way of saving and restoring icon positions, and perhaps add a way of configuring it to permanently save periodic (e.g. weely) snapshots of icon positions on the desktop.
There are multiple freeware tools out there which can do this (such as Iconoid), but they are either buggy, or I do not trust them - so it would be cool to get this feature in Classic Shell (and it fits very nicely with the improvements the program provides).
