I copied some folders from the All programs to the main start menu and I'd like them to open in multiple columns (I have to scroll now)

If you add them through the Customize Start Menu tab in the settings you will get an option to use multiple columns.
They can't be in the actual Start Menu folder though, or you'll see them twice in the main menu.

Btw, to do that in case you are finding it difficult, go to Customize Start Menu tab, scroll all the way down in the right column, add "Custom Command" and add the folder of your choice as a Link. You can also add a Library defined in Explorer (to combine more than one folder in a menu). Then you can set "Multi-column" for it.

Thanks!
I have another question then :D (sorry:$)
Can we move search to the top and recent programs below? Recent programs is not in the Customize Start Menu tab.
It would be nice if we could move the section freely in the Customize Start Menu tab :)

The recent programs and the top-level "pinned" programs are always at the top. That's because they are variable-size content.
You can technically disable the recent programs or move them in a sub-menu, and remove the pinned programs, which will leave only the pre-defined menu items. You can order those any way you want.

@Skyli, FYI, for that you need to add the item called "Recent Items" from the Customize Start Menu. That is the Recent programs list (even if it says "Recent Items"). You can definitely put it below the search box but it will be in a sub-menu as Ivo said. :)
